The Fluorination of Boron?Doped Graphene for CF<i>x</i> Cathode with Ultrahigh Energy Density

چکیده

The enhancement of the fluorination degree carbon fluorides (CFx) compounds is most effective method to improve energy densities Li/CFx batteries because specific capacity CFx proportional molar ratio F C atoms (F/C). In this study, B-doped graphene (BG) prepared by using boric acid as doping source and then BG utilized starting material for preparation CFx. B-doping enhances F/C without hindering electrochemical activity C–F bond. During process, B-containing functional groups are removed from lattice. This facilitates formation a defect-rich matrix, which not only due abundant perfluorinated at defective edges but also serves active site extra Li+ storage. exhibits maximum 1204 mAh g?1, 39.2% higher than that obtained directly oxide (without B-doping). An unprecedented density 2974 Wh kg?1 achieved as-prepared samples, significantly theoretically calculated commercially available fluorinated graphite (2180 kg?1). Therefore, study demonstrates great potential realize ultrahigh cathodes practical applications.

Rechargeable Batteries with High Energy Storage Activated by In-situ Induced Fluorination of Carbon Nanotube Cathode

High performance rechargeable batteries are urgently demanded for future energy storage systems. Here, we adopted a lithium-carbon battery configuration. Instead of using carbon materials as the surface provider for lithium-ion adsorption and desorption, we realized induced fluorination of carbon nanotube array (CNTA) paper cathodes, with the source of fluoride ions from electrolytes, by an in-...

Relativistic plasma nanophotonics for ultrahigh energy density physics

The heating of dense matter to extreme temperatures motivates the development of powerful lasers1–4. However, the barrier the critical electron density imposes to light penetration into ionized materials results in the deposition of most of the laser energy into a thin surface layer at typically only 0.1% of solid density. Here, we demonstrate that trapping of femtosecond laser pulses of relati...

High energy density asymmetric supercapacitors with a nickel oxide nanoflake cathode and a 3D reduced graphene oxide anode.

Here we demonstrate a high energy density asymmetric supercapacitor with nickel oxide nanoflake arrays as the cathode and reduced graphene oxide as the anode. Nickel oxide nanoflake arrays were synthesized on a flexible carbon cloth substrate using a seed-mediated hydrothermal method. The reduced graphene oxide sheets were deposited on three-dimensional (3D) nickel foam by hydrothermal treatmen...
